À propos de ce contenu audio

I often catch myself responding to things my sons and husband say with that’s for sure. With simple things like, “hey mom, I’m getting super tall” or “it’s sooooooo hot out today.” That’s for sure. And the more I’ve said it over the years, the more I realized that many of us crave a life of certainty. It’s out of this that this podcast was born. I have so much to learn about living anchored and tethered to Jesus and I cannot wait to have conversations with folks who are in their lane and doing their thing. That's For Sure Podcast Christianisme Ministère et évangélisme Spiritualité

  • Episode 26 - Barbara Quillen Egbert
    Apr 28 2026

On today’s episode, Carrie Ellen is joined by author and bible study leader, Barb Egbert.

Barbara Quillen Egbert writes and guides women’s groups from a foundational perspective of a personal relationship with Jesus. Her previous book Portrait of a Woman and Jesus was based on the same dream when Jesus asked, “Will you dance with Me?” Ballroom dance has become a vehicle for her personal and spiritual growth.

Barb’s story of coming to know the grace of Jesus through an invitation to dance is an incredible reminder that Jesus speaks to who he made us to be and desires we know him relationally. This is a story of grace and a reminder for us all that Jesus sees us and cares about us deeply.

    Quote from the episode:

“I encourage whoever feels stuck to go and read the words of Jesus, to interact with it. He wants your wholeness, he wants your freedom. Get to know his heart.”

Here for the Ride is your invitation to say “yes” to God’s love and freedom, no matter what your life looks like right now.

Author Carrie Ellen reminds us that Jesus cares for us beyond measure and is always near, even when our feelings say otherwise. Faith isn’t about having all the answers, it’s about walking with Jesus through the unknown—through the sorrows and joys of life.

Trusting Jesus isn’t about controlling outcomes, but rather, it’s about leaning into him in every moment—from the mundane to the marvelous—to hear his quiet whispers above the noise.

This book will encourage you, refresh your faith, and challenge you to loosen your grip on things that don’t matter, so that you might be freed up to hold on tighter to Jesus.

Here for the Ride is full of hope and honesty. The invitation to live in anticipation of God’s voice and to find peace and rest in him is for everyone.
