    Nov 4 2026

The Reggata Plan called for an international demonstration by maritime powers that international law had to be observed and water channels could not be closed. The Reggata Plan would teach Nasser from Egypt that there were consequences for closing the Straights of Tiran. Where was the UN as Egypt flagrantly violated international law and expelled the UNEF whose purpose was to buffer between Egypt and Israel?

  • TFJ Season 6 Episode 12 As the Prime Minister Tensely (and Unpopularly) Gave Diplomacy a Chance, Rabin Perfected Preparations for a Preemptive Strike
    Oct 7 2026

Summary LBJ warned Prime Minister Eshkol that Israel may not fire the first shot. This bound Eshkol in a gordian knot: he had to convince the world that he had to act, while convincing the Israelis why he shouldn't. Israel's fate in the international arena was entrusted to the very competent hands of its Foreign Minister, Abba Eban. To many outside observers, Israel's fate could not have been in better hands than those of Foreign Minister Abba Eban. Hailed as the greatest orator of the century, he marshaled all his skills on behalf of Israeli diplomacy.
