  • 10 Things I Let Go Of in the Year of the Snake (And What’s Coming Next)
    Feb 9 2026

    📝 Episode 67 Show Notes

As the Year of the Snake comes to an end, this episode is a reflection on shedding, healing, and releasing what no longer fits — even when it’s uncomfortable.

The Year of the Snake is associated with deep transformation, intuition, and truth. It’s not a year of loud wins or constant momentum — it’s a year that asks you to slow down, go inward, and let old skins fall away.

In this episode, I share 10 things I personally let go of this year, and why the shedding was necessary for the next chapter. As a single mom who has raised two children largely on her own, much of my life was built in survival mode. This year challenged me to soften, stop over-functioning, and choose myself without guilt.

I also talk about what’s ahead as we move into the Year of the Horse beginning February 17, a season of movement, confidence, and aligned forward momentum — not hustle, but purposeful action.

    In this episode, we explore:

What the Year of the Snake was really meant to teach us

Why this year may have felt heavy, emotional, or quiet

The 10 things I consciously let go of in this season of shedding

How survival patterns show up for strong, independent women

What to expect energetically in the Year of the Horse

How to move forward without carrying old versions of yourself

This episode is a reminder that letting go isn’t loss — it’s preparation.

✨ You didn’t fall behind this year.

✨ You were shedding what couldn’t come with you.

  • 66. You’re Not Behind — You’re Regulating (Full Moon Edition)
    Feb 2 2026

You’re Not Behind — You’re Regulating (Full Moon Energy & Release)

In this episode of the Take Back Your Own Health Podcast, we slow things down and talk about something many women need to hear right now: if nothing feels like it’s happening, it doesn’t mean you’re failing — it may mean your nervous system is regulating.

As we move through a full moon from Sunday through Tuesday, emotions, exhaustion, and awareness can feel amplified — especially for women who have spent years in survival mode. Full moons often bring things to the surface so they can be released, not fixed or forced.

As a single mom who raised two children largely on her own, I share personal reflections on what it’s like to live in constant responsibility, always holding everything together — and how stillness can feel uncomfortable when your body learned safety through doing and producing.

In this episode, we talk about:

Why “nothing happening” can actually be a sign of healing

How the full moon can heighten emotions and nervous system responses

Why strong, independent women struggle with rest and stillness

Signs your body is regulating, not falling apart

Gentle ways to slow down and support yourself during a full moon

Simple journal prompts to help you release instead of pushing

This episode is an invitation to soften, breathe, and stop judging yourself for needing rest.

You don’t need to have everything figured out.

You don’t need to force clarity.

You are allowed to pause, regulate, and receive.

✨ Sometimes nothing happening is the safest place your body has ever been.

  • 65. SEX: Sexual Energy Xchange — How the Wrong Partner Dysregulates Your Nervous System
    Jan 26 2026

SEX: Sexual Energy Xchange — How the Wrong Partner Affects Your Nervous System

In this episode of the Take Back Your Own Health Podcast, we’re having a real, honest conversation about SEX — Sexual Energy Xchange — and how intimacy impacts the body far beyond the physical.

Every time we’re intimate with someone, we’re exchanging energy emotionally, hormonally, and through our nervous system. And when that exchange happens with the wrong person — someone emotionally unavailable, inconsistent, or unsafe — the body feels it, even if the mind tries to rationalize it away.

This episode isn’t about shame or judgment. It’s about awareness, embodiment, and protecting your energy.

As a single mom who has raised two children on her own, I share personal insights about what it looks like to live in survival mode for years — holding everything together, being strong, independent, and resilient — and how that can make us more vulnerable to confusing or dysregulating connections when we finally allow intimacy.

    We talk about:

What SEX (Sexual Energy Xchange) really means

How the wrong partner can dysregulate your nervous system

Why intimacy with emotionally unsafe people creates anxiety, attachment, and self-doubt

Signs your body is reacting even when your mind minimizes it

Why chemistry without safety isn’t sustainable

How to reclaim your energy and choose peace over potential

    Your body is intelligent.

If intimacy leaves you anxious, unsettled, or disconnected — that’s information, not weakness.

Healing doesn’t come from forcing yourself to detach.

It comes from learning to listen to your body and honor what it needs.

✨ You are allowed to protect your energy.

✨ You are allowed to choose emotional safety.

✨ You are allowed to walk away from connections that cost you your peace.

  • 64. Nothing is Happening Right Now
    Jan 21 2026

Sometimes it feels like everything is happening at once — someone isn’t communicating, life feels uncertain, and our minds start spinning. But the truth is often much simpler: nothing is happening right now.

In this episode, I share how I grounded myself over my birthday weekend — filled my cup with friends, family, mountain hikes, and laughter — and how that practice reminded me to calm my inner child and nervous system when life feels uncertain.

I also share my top three ways to calm yourself down:

Naming the feeling and reassuring yourself

Anchoring in your body through breath or movement

Shifting attention to something grounding and actionable

This episode is for anyone who struggles with anxiety, overthinking, or waiting on someone or something to “move” before they can feel peace. Learn how to pause, reassure yourself, and reclaim your calm — because your inner peace is your power.

✨ Pick one of these practices today and notice how your nervous system responds.

  • 62. No New Year’s resolution for me this year!
    Jan 6 2026

🎙️ Episode 62: No New Year’s Resolutions for Me This Year

This year, I’m choosing something different — no New Year’s resolutions.

In this episode, I talk about why New Year’s resolutions often put unnecessary pressure on us, set us up for an all-or-nothing mindset, and disconnect us from our bodies instead of helping us heal.

Health isn’t something we practice for one month a year. It’s built in the small, everyday choices we make — even on the hard days.

    We dive into:

Why New Year’s resolutions create pressure and burnout

How “January motivation” keeps us stuck in a cycle of starting and stopping

What it actually looks like to show up for yourself every single day

Why consistency matters more than perfection

How to be unbothered by outside expectations, timelines, and comparison

A healthier way to set intentions that support your life instead of punish it

You don’t need a new year, a Monday, or a fresh start to take care of yourself. You’re allowed to begin again every day.

If this episode resonates, share it with someone who needs permission to slow down, release the pressure, and choose themselves — not just in January, but all year long.

✨ Take back your own health — on your terms.
