À propos de ce contenu audio

In this episode, Emily shares how her plans of leaving Newfoundland for somewhere like Wall Street evolved when she became CEO of Sucseed, a social enterprise venture formed in Enactus, at Memorial University. She talks about the real issue of food insecurity and how her family’s farming roots led her in that direction. She also talks about her positions with CIBC, the Memorial Centre for Entrepreneurship, and on various boards (most of which are in male-dominated industries)

She gives some wisdom on starting a business, visiting 30 countries before 30, and experiencing life in developing countries. She also talks about her experience at speed dating, how she used to approach dating and how it has changed, and what she learned from seeing friends in the wrong relationships.

Also talking about women being financially in dependent and how “relationship capital is more valuable than financial capital ever will be”, and how success in all aspects of life can be measured by the simple question of do you love what you spend your time doing?
