Remember when going to the movies was an EVENT? You planned your Friday night on Monday, studied the posters in the lobby, and maybe even saved your ticket stub. (Mr. Lobo has a whole shoebox of them. Don't judge!)

This time on Sleepless Knights pODDcast, Mr. Lobo takes us on a trip down the sticky-floored memory lane of movie theaters past and present, with That Pantsless Producer Paul riding shotgun!

We're talking packed theaters, double features, classic movie posters, the excitement of coming attractions, and those glorious days when you could actually afford to spend an afternoon at the movies. Then there's today's theatrical experience: reserved seating, cell phones, 45 minutes of trailers, commercials pretending to be trailers, and Nicole Kidman reminding us why heartbreak feels good in a place like this. Again. And again. And again. And again. And ...

Somewhere along the way, we wander into Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho, midnight screenings of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, and the modern nightmare of scrolling Netflix for an hour just to put something on in the background.
