  • Church Cliques: Are You Being Excluded or Just Assuming?
    Oct 22 2026

Are church cliques real, or are we sometimes assuming people don't like us without ever having a conversation?

If you've ever felt excluded at church, struggled to connect with a worship team, or wondered why certain church leaders seem unapproachable, this episode of Seriously, Sis is for you.

This week, Julia and Madison kick off a three-part series on communication, beginning with communication in the church.

Joined by Michael, we have an honest, funny, and practical conversation about church cliques, friendships, misunderstandings, leadership, and the expectations Christians place on one another.

Because here's the thing: Not everyone at church is going to be your best friend - and that doesn't automatically mean they're rejecting you.

But church leaders and ministry teams also have a responsibility to make people feel welcomed, valued, and seen.

    Here's the question:

Have you ever assumed someone at church didn't like you, only to discover you completely misunderstood the situation?

Or have you experienced a church clique that genuinely made you feel unwelcome?

We want to hear your perspective in the comments!

  • Why Are Christians So Judgmental? Has Our Love Grown Cold?
    Oct 14 2026

Why do Christians have a reputation for being judgmental instead of loving? And has the church forgotten what biblical love actually looks like?

Jesus called us to love one another, but in a world filled with division, disagreements, church hurt, and conflicting beliefs, it's easy to let our hearts grow cold.

In this episode of Seriously, Sis, we have an honest conversation about Christian love, judgmental Christians, loving difficult people, and why speaking biblical truth should never mean abandoning compassion.

We explore the difference between loving someone and agreeing with everything they do, and why neither harsh judgment nor compromising biblical truth reflects the fullness of Jesus' example.

Are we actually loving people the way Jesus commanded us to, or are we allowing our disagreements, frustrations, and personal experiences to determine who deserves our compassion?

Biblical love doesn't require us to abandon truth. But standing for truth doesn't give us permission to abandon love.

    LET'S TALK IN THE COMMENTS:
Have you ever experienced judgment from other Christians? How do you show love to someone you strongly disagree with?

Subscribe to Seriously, Sis for honest, practical, biblical conversations about faith, relationships, church culture, and everyday Christian living.

  • Christian Celebrity Culture: Why It’s Dangerous for Your Soul
    Oct 7 2026

Are Christians turning pastors, worship leaders, and Christian influencers into idols?

Honoring church leaders is biblical, but there is a difference between honor and idolatry. When a pastor becomes your primary source of truth, when you can't question a Christian leader, or when their failure has the power to destroy your faith, they may be occupying a place in your heart that was never meant for them.

In this episode of Seriously, Sis, we talk about idolatry in the church, pastor worship, Christian celebrity culture, worship leaders, church leadership, biblical literacy, and why Christians need to know God and His Word for themselves.

Pastors are human. Worship leaders are human. Christian influencers are human. We can honor people God uses without turning them into our source.

So ask yourself: If your favorite pastor fell tomorrow, would your faith in Jesus change?
