DJs In The Distance 008 (August 2026)
    Aug 7 2026
More than six years after the first—and more than four since the last—we have found our way back to DJs In The Distance. The project began as one of our more constructive lockdown decisions: Four mates, stuck in separate abodes, passing a DJ mix between one another… in lieu of the usual beers, banter and laughing away an afternoon in the studio. Thankfully, the lockdown part is now history. The format, though, well, it remains rather good fun. For the uninitiated, it remains our DJ interpretation of pass the parcel: One of us kicks off, plays a handful of tracks, and sends it on. The next picks up wherever the music has landed. It is without a central brief, fixed genre or agreed destination: New music, old favourites, deeper cuts, guilty pleasures and the occasional left turn are all fair game. The only real objective is to listen, respond and keep the thing moving. We had intended this eighth volume to be the final edition: The project had achieved all it intended, noting that—thankfully—the bad ol’ COVID days are behind us. In that spirit, each contribution was softly extended to about half an hour rather than a rigid four-track requirement, facilitating a longer mix and greater opportunity for individual expression and to stretch the legs! The result is the eighth instalment: four individual selections, connected into one long and—hopefully—cohesive musical conversation. And, well, despite the six-month-long wait for Brendo to pull the finger out, it may not be the final chapter after all. We hope you enjoy it as much... --- : Tracklisting: : J-Mac: 01 : Underher - 'Mercy' (Original Mix) [Songtradr] 02 : Enigmatic - 'He Looked So Happy' (Mass Digital Mix) [Perspectives Digital] 03 : Andhim - 'Duno' (Original Mix) [Superfriends] 04 : Fabrizio Mammarella - 'Mercator' (Original Mix) [Slow Motion] : Andy Wright: 05 : Will Konitzer - 'Runnin'' (Original Mix) [Musicon] 06 : Kris Dur - 'Spectral Memory' (Original Mix) [Luum Records] 07 : Gai Barone - 'Lumia' (Mike Griego Remix) [Vapour Recordings] 08 : Emi Brandan - 'Fresh Wind' (Original Mix) [Stripped Digital] 09 : This Guy Ben - 'The Splash' (Original Mix) [A 1 Track Mind] 10 : Seb Wildblood, Waterworld & Eli Dayo - 'Insomniac Crossing' (Blossom Hill Remix) [all my thoughts] 11 : Shiffer ft. • Vibecast Promo Mix for Original Vibe (2017)

Vibecast Promo Mix for Original Vibe (2017)
    Jul 29 2024
One from the archives: This is a promo mix that we thoughtfully compiled for Original Vibe @originalvibemusic in preparation for a subsequent event in Manly. 2017 was an incredible year for us—our very first behind the controls of @atticsydney, our new event and brand. The selections within this mix are equally reminiscent of this very special time for us: it's packed with front-of-box burners that dominated our playlists during the period that have since become anthemic. Take us back?! • Live at Attic x Café del Mar (10th December, 2023)

Live at Attic x Café del Mar (10th December, 2023)
    Dec 10 2023
Attic returned for a summer soirée at the iconic Café del Mar Sydney earlier this month—the balmy weekend was embraced by the sun-drenched ambience of Cockle Bay. As I like to do, I kicked off the afternoon's proceedings, offering a selection of Balearic-inspired flavours to set the mood and tone, in preparation for the more house-centric flavours to follow. (And they certainly did.) I really enjoyed packing and preparing this particular box—which required many a dig for hidden treasures from yesteryear!—and it came out about as well as I hoped it might! I hope it translates as such for you, potentially offering a tasty aural side dish for your Christmas/holiday preparations and celebrations!
