  • Episode 6: If It's Okay to Not Be Okay, Why Do I Feel Shame?
    Mar 12 2024

To mark the launch of the If It's OK campaign, we have produced a special episode with Time to Change Wales Champions Richard and Beth who have bravely shared their experiences of feeling ashamed about their mental health problems and how it has impacted their lives.

The If It's OK campaign has been developed by the UK Anti-Stigma Alliance, which consists of See Me in Scotland, Inspire in Northern Ireland, Mind in England and, of course, Time to Change Wales.

It is a UK-wide campaign around addressing the feeling of shame when opening up about mental health problems, conditions and illnesses.

‘It’s OK to not be OK’ is a well-known phrase but if it’s truly OK to not be OK, then why do so many people still feel shame about their mental health?
