Hello? McFly? Anyone there? Am I talking to a wall here? Just calling it out the way I see it. One of my favorite quotes from one of my favorite artists, Rufus Wainwright “Do you really think you go to hell for having loved?”. In this episode I will show you a real life conversation, verbatim, of what grief can sound and look like, in all of its layers and forms. Bargaining: Can we make this work? What needs to change to turn back time and make things anew. Can we? Does the world really come back full circle? Can we resolve our unresolved conflicts with someone else? Denial: The shock factor can take as long as it needs. This can’t be happening. In my skin and soul, we are still together and “connected”. Are we both feeling this way, or am I feeling this for the both of us? The concept of idealism: Objects don’t exist that aren’t perceived. Depression: That soul sucking, mind numbing feelings where colors fade, music fades, does anything really matter at all? Anger: Not to play the blame game, but it takes two to tango and only one person to leave a relationship. I can admit faults, can you? Accountability. Acceptance: Is it pretending you don’t care and you move on with distractions? Finding peace in situations that are out of your control? Delusional or otherwise. How about loving someone despite it all unconditionally and finding that delicate balance to move on at the same time without hurting yourself and others around you in the process. Song: White Flag by Dido to meditate, think, and philosophize on: “Well if I didn’t say it, well, I'd still have felt it, where's the sense in that?” Stick around for Part 2…
