À propos de ce contenu audio

Red Light Exposé is an international grassroots survivor-led circle seeking to combat “sex work” ideology. We aim to raise awareness of the harms of commercializing sex, and the industries (prostitution, porn, stripping, BDSM/kink) that exploit socioeconomically marginalized people, particularly women and girls. We support the adoption of Equality Model legislation worldwide while calling for an improvement in social security. Through honest, in-depth conversations we aim to elevate voices that are often ignored and silenced, moving us toward healthier and safer societies for all people.Red Light Exposé Politique et gouvernement Sciences politiques

    • How Animal Rights Relate To Sexual Exploitation with Professor Gary Francione
      Jan 6 2026

Andrea Heinz interviews prominent animal rights advocate Professor Gary Francione about the universal nature of anti-exploitation ethics. They discuss life for women in the modern patriarchal world, challenges in academia, the blatant sexism found in many campaigns for animal rights, and why awakening to this phenomenon of abuse-apologetics is ultimately a gift of knowledge.

    • The Modern Sex Industry’s Race To The Bottom
      Nov 26 2025

Elly Arrow talks to Esther, Policy Advisor at Nordic Model Now and survivor of exploitation in prostitution and pornography, about the modern sex industry's downward spiral of ever more extreme acts for ever lower prices. They discuss why the industry doesn't allow for genuine female autonomy or safety and how male demands for degradation and violence are both cause and consequence of the sex industry. They touch on OnlyFans, BDSM, snuff films, human trafficking, and Esther's own experience of narrowly surviving commercial sexual exploitation.

      Nov 11 2025

This is the recording from our recent livestream to mark 11 years since the Protection of Communities and Exploited Persons Act (PCEPA) became law in Canada.

      The discussion featured:

      • Andrea Heinz and Kathy King, co-authors of When Men Buy Sex: Who Really Pays?

      • Michelle Abel, Vice President for Children and Youth & Global Affairs, National Council of Women of Canada

      • Liz John-West, Executive Director, CEASE (Centre to Empower All Survivors of Exploitation & Trafficking)

      • Linda MacDonald and Jeanne Sarson, co-founders of Persons Against Non-State Torture

Speakers reflected on the impact of PCEPA since its adoption, shared observations from anniversary events held in Ottawa, and outlined what further measures are needed to strengthen Canada’s response to sexual exploitation and trafficking.

The episode provided updates on policy outcomes, community initiatives, and the continuing challenges in preventing exploitation and supporting those affected.

It was moderated by Elly Arrow.
