  • Episode 8: Liz Grant - Our Mentor
    Mar 3 2026

Episode 8 is here and wowee… we can’t quite believe it!

This week on Recovering Idiots, we’re joined by someone very special to us , the incredible Liz Grant.

Liz was instrumental when we first started our businesses. She backed us, challenged us, believed in us (sometimes more than we believed in ourselves), and brought that signature out-of-the-box thinking we absolutely love her for.

In this episode we dive into burnout, what it can look like, how sneaky it can be, and why so many of us push through it instead of listening to the warning signs. We also talk about gratitude (not the fluffy kind! The grounding, perspective-shifting kind)… and yes, somehow we end up talking about ponies too 🐴

We’re so grateful for Liz — and we think you’ll see why.

Go give Episode 8 a listen. And as always, thanks for being part of this wild, healing, slightly chaotic ride with us.

  • Episode 7: Paul Buchanan - Local Legend!
    Feb 24 2026

    Recovering Idiots – Episode 7 Men's Group

This episode, we sit down with Paul Buchanan — a local legend who saw a gap and decided to do something about it.

Paul created a men’s group right here in our community, offering a space where men can talk openly about life’s challenges, mental health, pressure, identity, and everything in between. No fixing. No pretending. Just real conversations.

Paul’s men’s group is held at the Port Fairy Community House every 3rd Tuesday of the month at 7pm.

Because maybe “recovering idiots” is just another way of saying… we’re learning how to talk.

  • Episode 4: Kim shares her story of her Nephew Nate
    Jan 26 2026

    TRIGGER WARNING:

Contains details about Infant death, suicide and suicide ideation.

In our 4th episode of Recovering Idiots, Kim shares her very personal and difficult story for the first time publicly: the night her 8-month-old nephew was killed by a drunk driver, the shattering grief that followed, and how it led her into a very dark place with suicidal thoughts.

It's raw, honest, and real. If you're here for the laughs this week, this one might hit different. But if you're walking through loss, addiction, recovery, or just need to hear someone say "I've been there too," we hope Kim's story offers some comfort or connection.

Thanks for listening, and take care of yourselves out there. ❤️

  • Episode 2: Dumpster Fire that was 2025
    Jan 13 2026

    Recovering Idiots

In episode two we roast the absolute dumpster fire that was2025.

A year so kind to our mental health at less it felt aggressively ordinary.

    Burnout? Check

Existential dread on a budget? Double check

The low lights were plentiful and predictable but hey atleast we had two actual highlights worth mentioning, our separate New Zealand holidays because nothing says self-care like pretending fiords and mountains can fix everything.

The real plot twist finding lost long family.

Pure unexpected chaos in the best way we unpack the mess, celebrate the rare wins and sarcastically toast to whatever 2026 decides to throw at us.
