  • Choosing to be Childfree with Alicia Mccarvell
    Feb 17 2026

Welcome back to the Recover with Carly Podcast!

This week I sat down with Alicia Mccarvell - an east coast Canadian plus size content creator, auntie, & a comfort creator to so many (myself included, of course).

Throughout our conversation, Alicia opens up about her journey to becoming a content creator, the reason she shows up online, being in a "mixed-value" relationship, choosing to be childfree, and the impact being an auntie has had on her.

Alicia is someone who has inspired me for many years and I'm so thankful to have sat down with her to talk about so many important and relatable topics. Alicia and I have realized we have so much in common - both married to our high school sweethearts, have chosen to be childfree, and both take our roles at aunties very seriously. I'm thankful to have someone like Alicia to relate to and to be able to share her knowledge and words of wisdom with you all.
