Can you be right about the Bible and still be wrong in how you treat people? Christians are called to speak God's truth, but sometimes our desire to correct others gets in the way of showing them the love of Jesus. We know what Scripture says, but do we really understand the people we're trying to reach?
In Read the Room, part two of the Burning Scrolls sermon series, Pastor Jason Barnett explores Jeremiah 36:8–19 and what it teaches us about sharing God's Word with wisdom, humility, and intentionality. As Baruch delivers Jeremiah's message, we discover that faithfully communicating biblical truth involves more than simply saying the right words. It requires recognizing the people receiving them.
This sermon challenges religious self-righteousness, confronts the temptation to use Scripture as a weapon, and encourages believers who genuinely want to share their faith more effectively. It also offers hope to those who have experienced judgment, rejection, or hurt from Christians.
