What a week for Wrexham AFC.
After the 6-0 defeat at West Ham, attention quickly turned to the visit of Southampton — but this was never going to be just another Championship fixture.
From the fallout of last season's Southampton Spygate scandal, to the viral response from Wrexham AFC co-owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, the build-up created plenty of talking points before a ball was even kicked.
Then came the game itself.
Wrexham AFC 2-1 Southampton.
Kieffer Moore put Wrexham ahead before James Ward-Prowse levelled for the visitors. With Southampton creating chances and appearing to have the upper hand for large periods, Wrexham kept fighting — before a late Keven Schlotterbeck own goal secured a dramatic first home Championship win of the season.
But that's only part of the story.
