      In this 2nd of a double-header weekend, we chop it up with author, historian, independent scholar, and social activist Deirdre Sinnott.

      She is a historical consultant and researcher for the Ft. Stanwix Underground Railroad History Project, funded by the National Parks Service.

      Her book “The Third Mrs. Galway” retells the story of Helen Galway, who discovers a secret: two runaway slaves are hiding in the shack behind her husband’s house. It is a riveting story and an essential read for everyone.

      This monumental conversation takes us from the early days of slavery from her book all the way to our present situation regarding “Affirmative Action” and the social injustices being ignored by our SCOTUS.
