How does a background in costume design shape the way you approach fashion?

In this episode, Sasha (MA Fashion Design for Planet) shares her journey from studying costume design for performance at London College of Fashion to working with fashion in a more production-focused and system-oriented context at DSKD.

Starting from designing garments to express character and narrative, she reflects on how that perspective carries into fashion, while also adapting to new considerations like materials, scalability, and production. We explore the differences between bespoke costume work and fashion design for larger systems, and what that shift means for both creativity and decision-making.
