PHILOSOPHICAL GOSPEL PODCAST - DR CHRIS SYLVAIN - ROMANS, RUTH AND RIGHTEOUSNESS In this episode I am graciously joined by Dr. Christopher Sylvain, a registered pharmacist, is the pastor of Faith Full Gospel Baptist Church in New Orleans and the owner of Best Life Pharmacy and Wellness in New Orleans. He graduated in 1983 from Xavier University’s College of Pharmacy and taught nutrition and herbal medicine as an adjunct assistant professor at Xavier from 1995 to 2017. He directed a novel Clinical Nutrition Clerkship from 1998-2012 that trained pharmacy students to be nutrition educators. In this episode we discuss his thoughts on the Book of Romans and the construction of the Christian psyche as outlined by St. Paul, we discuss the Book of Ruth and what it means to be spiritually masculine and feminine. Additionally, we touch on the current state of the church in terms of how to combat the impending crisis of meaning faced by so many of today's younger people. In this episode, I am graciously joined by Dr. Robin Kelly He is an English-trained doctor whose medical practice has evolved to embrace Eastern and modern mind/body philosophies. His focus is on integrating these holistic models into a modern contemporary environment -- blending the best of the East with the best of the West. Additionally, Dr. Kelly has authored two books: “The Human Hologram” & “The Human Antenna”. For those who have been listening for a while will remember Dr. Kelly’s appearance on the podcast in which we discussed the idea of a holographic universe.   

This conversation furthers that same topical nature. Additionally, in this episode, we discuss the nature of psychedelic therapy and its potential benefits on the human condition; we discuss the origins and importance of virtue in the process of developing character; we discuss his methods for healing from a post-traumatic stress disorder and the trauma associated with that m; and we ultimately tie this all into the grander theme of consciousness and its origins, hope you all enjoy!

In 2020 he launched the Podcast How To Be An Artist.
