In our first ever Tech Talk Discussed, we welcome Rob Corwin, Founder/CEO of Austin Artificial Intelligence, and Kahlil Wehmeyer, Sr. Data Scientist, Austin Artificial Intelligence. We spend time discussing NLP in general, including the inadequacies of "off the shelf" NLP models. We then discuss PoST -- the NLP search service that Innovation Tech Talk team and Austin AI partnered together to create. We talk about custom parts of speech, what was harder about the project than we imagined, and what we'd do differently if we did it again.
