Happy International Women’s Day and happy 2nd birthday to the Name One Player podcast!

Two years ago today, on International Women’s Day, I released the very first episode of the Name One Player podcast. What started as an idea to highlight women in sports has grown into a platform for conversations with incredible athletes, journalists, creators, and leaders across the sports world.

In this special anniversary episode, I reflect on the past two years of the podcast, how the show has evolved since that first episode, and what I’ve learned from building a women’s sports podcast from the ground up. I also take time to thank every single person who has been part of the journey - the guests who shared their stories, the listeners who support the show, and everyone who has helped Name One Player grow.

International Women’s Day is a powerful reminder of the impact women have across every industry, including sports media and athletics. This podcast exists because of the incredible women who continue to push sports forward, and I’m grateful to have the opportunity to share their voices and stories.

Thank you for being part of the Name One Player community over the past two years. I’m excited to continue growing the podcast, highlighting more women in sports, and seeing where the next chapter takes us.
