What comes to mind when you hear the words “mental health”? Is it fear, worry, anxiety, or depression? Maybe it’s confusion, shame, guilt, or a sense of being overwhelmed and stressed out. The world has cast a negative light on mental health and made us believe it’s only something to talk about when we struggle or need help. But what if mental health was a good thing? Just like physical health or spiritual health, what if mental health was something we were supposed to work on, exercise, and take care of daily? Through this experience, we’ll explore the broken thoughts and beliefs that lead to mental health struggles and learn how to change our thinking so that we can change our lives. We’ll discover that God has given us everything we need to walk in freedom and practice a lifestyle of mental health. • Session 12 - Now What?
      Feb 17 2022
Mental health is a journey. Just like our physical health, it’s something we have to practice, exercise, and work on. Day by day, little by little, as we partner with God and use the tools He’s provided, we can experience a lifestyle of mental health. In this session, we’ll discover that where the Holy Spirit is, there is freedom. He wants to come and be our guide, counselor, and comforter. He wants to empower us to live a life of victory. God is good, Jesus has forgiven you, you are loved, and everything is possible – which means in Jesus, mental health is possible for you. • Session 11 - Do Something Fun
      Feb 17 2022
When was the last time you just had fun? When was the last time you sang out loud or laughed so hard your stomach hurt? The Bible tells us that a cheerful heart is good medicine – that the kingdom of God belongs to children. And what do children do? They play, have fun, and enjoy life! In this session, we learn that having fun is an essential part of our mental health journey. Sometimes, the greatest thing we can do for our stress or anxiety is just put the phone down, go outside, and enjoy the world God created. • Session 10 - Serve Someone
      Feb 17 2022
The Bible says those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed. You see, it’s not always about you or your struggle. You don’t have to wait to be perfect before living out your purpose. One of the reasons Jesus lived mentally free is because He never lost sight of His purpose to serve others. In this session, we discover that one of the greatest things we can do for mental health is to choose to get outside of ourselves and serve someone.
