    This boogie country tune is one of Maxie's first songs she wrote in her songwriting career. She gives a spirited and soulful effort with lead vocals. The talented Spike Jones produced the song. Maxie created the cover art as well.

    "This song is one of the first songs I ever wrote in like 1988 and it had a good feel to it just out in the country you know and dancing and enjoying life together."

Maxie Kinney wrote the song and lyrics while singing backup to her sister and music partner Inge Goodson on lead vocals; the talented Spike Jones produced the song at his studio.     Maxie: "Well here it is, The Reason, written in the late 1980s, put in the drawer and left. Never tried pitching this song or getting it out. It was produced by Bill Kinney and sang by me and I did the backup and all that -- hope everybody enjoys it :-)"

    Here is a great song that showcases the talented country side of Maxie and the talent of Bill Kinney with his guitar playing and ear for sound, even containing the lovesick themes of a broken heart and relationship woes. There is a good ending though and that is all we can ask for in a song from the heart. The video was created by Maxie recently.
