  • 149. Why does self-improvement feel so overwhelming?
    Feb 20 2026

Let me know what you loved about the episode!

If you’ve ever felt exhausted by personal growth instead of energised by it, this episode is for you.

In today’s episode we’re talking about something many women experience but rarely name: invisible overwhelm.

You might think you’re unmotivated, inconsistent, or not trying hard enough.
But often, the real issue isn’t a lack of discipline. It’s emotional overload.

When you try to change your habits, mindset, confidence, healing, routines, boundaries and life direction all at once, your nervous system doesn’t experience that as growth. It experiences it as pressure.

In this episode, we explore why self-development can start to feel exhausting, how overwhelm shows up in your body and emotions, and what actually works instead of trying to fix everything at once.

This conversation is for you if you feel like you’re doing all the inner work but still feel stuck, tired, or behind.

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN IN THIS EPISODE

    • Why self-improvement can lead to emotional overwhelm
    • The difference between lack of motivation and nervous system overload
    • Somatic signs your body is telling you you’re doing too much
    • Why trying to fix every area of your life at once backfires
    • How focusing on one emotional theme at a time creates real change
    • A gentler, more sustainable way to approach personal growth

    WHO THIS EPISODE IS FOR

    This episode will resonate if:

    • You feel overwhelmed by personal development advice
    • You consume lots of self-help content but struggle to implement it
    • You’re tired of feeling like you should be further along
    • You feel emotionally drained from trying to improve your life
    • You want a calmer, more focused way to grow

    MENTIONED IN THIS EPISODE

Inside my Inner Circle membership, I guide you through growth in a structured, supportive way, focusing on one emotional theme at a time so change actually sticks, instead of adding to the overwhelm.

  • 148. The Only Thing More Powerful Than Hate Is Love
    Feb 13 2026

Let me know what you loved about the episode!

In this episode, I’m talking about the power of love as a vibrational frequency, and why it’s far more powerful than hate.

Yep. I'm talking about Bad Bunny's Super Bowl moment. “The only thing more powerful than hate is love,” I couldn’t not speak about it.

Because this isn’t just a trend or a slogan.
    It’s energy.

    We explore:

    • Love vs hate through the lens of frequency
    • The turning point in consciousness described by David R. Hawkins and his Map of Consciousness
    • Why love is expansive and regulating, while hate is draining and survival-based
    • How this links to my own Magnetic Map of Consciousness* and energetic alignment

(*to see mentioned Magnetic Map of Consciousness click here )

    Love is not naïve.
    It’s stabilising.
    It’s powerful.

And every day, in small moments, we choose which frequency we amplify.

There's still time to join Flow and Flourish, you can join here: https://flow-and-flourish.lisadavidge.co.uk/flow--flourish-1539

  • 147. The Last-Minute Girl (And Why She’s Not Lazy)
    Feb 6 2026

Let me know what you loved about the episode!

Ever notice how you can plan something perfectly... in your head...
and somehow your suitcase is still empty the night before you leave?

    Yep. Same!

In this episode, I’m talking about something I’ve quietly done for years...leaving things until the last minute.

    Packing.
    Recording.
    Starting projects.
    Even things I’m excited about.

And for the longest time, I told myself the same old story:

“I must be disorganised', "I always procrastinate" and "next time I'll be more organised".

If you're thinking "I could've written this myself" I've got great news. It doesn't mean you're lazy. Well not all the time 😂

  • 146. You Can’t Be Great at Everything (And Trying Is Burning You Out)
    Jan 30 2026

Let me know what you loved about the episode!

If you’re trying to juggle everything: work, family, relationships, self-care, personal growth, and constantly feel like you’re falling short, this episode is for you.

When your list of roles becomes endless, it’s easy to lose sight of where you actually fit.

We talk about why our energy has a limit, why our attention has a limit, and why our nervous systems were never designed to constantly switch between roles all day long. This isn’t a motivation issue or a mindset flaw.... it’s a capacity issue.

I also explore why trying to be good at everything doesn’t make us impressive, it often leaves us burnt out, scattered, and feeling mediocre in the areas that matter most. And why choosing just one or two priorities for a season isn’t selfish, it’s powerful.

This episode is a gentle but honest invitation to stop juggling, start choosing, and give yourself permission to focus your energy where it truly matters.

    Mentioned in this episode:
Flow and Flourish a workshop designed to help you choose your focus intentionally and create more ease, rather than pressure. It’s happening on zoom, on 15th February at 3pm UK time. You can book your spot here

If this episode resonated, I hope it gives you permission to stop trying to be everything, and start honouring what you actually have the capacity for right now.

  • 145. From Judgement to Grounded: Rewriting How We See Female Confidence
    Jan 23 2026

Let me know what you loved about the episode!

This morning, a song lyric caught me off guard.

Olivia Dean sings, “It’s so easy to fall in love with me.”
And before the warmth of that sentence could land... a quieter, more conditioned thought appeared.
Judgement. Discomfort. The old story of it's “braggy”

In this episode, I’m sharing how that tiny moment opened a much bigger reflection on female confidence, self-perception, and the subconscious rules many of us have absorbed about what women are “allowed” to say about themselves.

We explore why women so often feel safer criticising themselves than acknowledging their goodness, and how owning something beautiful about who we are can still feel edgy in the body, even when we consciously value self-love.

This is a gentle, reflective episode about:

    • Why female self-confidence is so often misread as ego
    • The difference between proving, and simply knowing
    • How subconscious conditioning shapes our self-talk
    • And what happens when we begin to let goodness land instead of deflecting it

I also offer a soft self-inquiry you can sit with this week:

I want you to finish this sentence. “It’s so easy to fall in love with me because...”

Just to notice what arises... and what gently wants rewriting.

If you’ve ever felt uncomfortable being seen as confident, capable, or grounded in who you are, this conversation is for you.

As always, take what resonates, leave what doesn’t, and be kind with whatever this brings up for you.

  • 144. Self-Love in Crystal Form: Using Rose Quartz, Amethyst & more, to Build Self-Worth
    Jan 16 2026

Let me know what you loved about the episode!

Crystals have a beautiful way of meeting us where we are.
They don’t push. They don’t rush. They simply support.

In this revisited episode, we’re exploring how to work with crystals for self-love, self-worth, emotional healing and confidence.

If you’ve ever struggled with feeling “not enough,” being overly self-critical, or struggling with judgement from others, this episode is a gentle invitation back to yourself.

I’m sharing four powerful yet nurturing crystals and how you can use them intentionally in your everyday life:

Rose Quartz – the stone of unconditional love, compassion and heart healing
Leopardskin Jasper – a beautiful support for emotional strength, self-acceptance and reconnecting with your inner world
Sunstone – a warm, uplifting crystal linked to confidence, joy and self-belief
Amethyst – calming, protective and deeply supportive for emotional balance and self-trust

    Inside the episode, we explore:
    • How crystals can support self-love and self-worth on an energetic level
    • The emotional and energetic properties of each crystal
    • Simple ways to work with them (even if you’re brand new to crystals)
    • How to use crystals intentionally for confidence, compassion and inner connection

This episode is perfect if you’re on a journey of healing your relationship with yourself, building quiet confidence, or creating more softness and self-trust in your life.

As always, take what resonates, move gently, and let this be another small step in Loving Life.

  • 143. A Reminder to My Future Self on Letting Go, Trusting and Loving from Afar
    Jan 9 2026

Let me know what you loved about the episode!

As we step into a new year, I’ve found myself in a deeply reflective space. In this episode of Loving Life – A Guide to a Positive Mindset, I’m sharing a very personal conversation... almost like a voice note to my future self.

I talk about my youngest turning 15, what it’s stirred in me, and the bittersweet realisation that this chapter of motherhood is slowly changing. The cuddles look different. The conversations change. The future starts to feel closer.

We explore the beauty and the ache of watching our children grow, the fears that can surface around them becoming more independent, and the gentle practice of learning to let go while still loving deeply.

I also share a some shared wisdom that truly landed in my heart recently:

This episode is for any parent who has felt that quiet lump in their throat when they realise time is moving. But it’s also for anyone reflecting on growth, change, connection, and the seasons of life.

Talking of changing with the seasons, here is the link to book onto Flow and Flourish. Don't worry if you can't make it on 15th Feb, you'll have access to the zoom recording
