  • Calming the Cancer Chaos: Ask Better Questions, Understand Your Options
    Oct 28 2026

Dr. Tiffany Troso-Sandoval is a double board-certified medical oncologist, patient advocate, and author who spent 25 years at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center treating women with breast and gynecological cancers. Through her book, Calming the Cancer Chaos, and her patient education and advocacy work, she helps women and their families understand their diagnoses, prepare for appointments, and participate more confidently in their cancer care.

In this episode, Tiffany sits down with Christina to discuss what to do after a cancer diagnosis, why second opinions matter, and how patients and caregivers can make sense of overwhelming medical information. They explore the importance of taking notes, choosing an experienced care team, and understanding treatment options, while addressing common fears and misconceptions about chemotherapy. Tiffany also shares a moving story of a woman living well ten years after a stage-four uterine cancer diagnosis and explains how her book and companion workbook help patients bring greater clarity and organization to their care.
