Countdown to the new job. Alleged script news, and a tragic end to the "missing Gus" saga. I saw Greg Fitzsimmons at the gym; you know, "the guy that wouldn't read my Nick DiPaolo pilot." We have picture lock on Sex In Your 40s, but I'm feeling Alan Smithee about it. I tried to read "Story" by Robert McKee, the screenwriting guru. (More like BORE-y) I watched the motion picture "Stand Up Guys," so you don't have to. Speaking of "stand up guys," I watched "Is This Thing On" on the plane to NY, and never prayed for a bird strike more in my life.

We start the episode with Luke possibly part of a murder mystery. We then get into the inexplicable resurgence of NuMetal, and what constitutes modern dad rock. Growing up with Canadian strip clubs, bad shit we did as kids for no reason, "Coachella people," and a myriad of other whimsical, fanciful ruminations.

I went on my first actual job interview probably since Bill Clinton was in office. The library in LA is nothing but a homeless shelter with some books in it. John Joseph from the Cro Mags was on a podcast and I just find the man so whimsically entertaining. Old McDonald caused me harm, ee I ee I blow.
