It's Mikie's turn to tell the 9:30 Society all about a very special episode of Are You Afraid of the Dark. It's the first of the two-part episode, The Tale of Cutter's Treasure. Gary and Frank team up for a story that's just too big, too cool, too gripping for one story teller and because it's both of them you'd better believe that a certain homosexual small business owner and a doctor with a certain vuh-vuh-vuh feature in this episode. It's another story of kids left on their own by their negligent parents but this time it's stolen from The Goonies as two brothers unlock the secret of a lost pirate's treasure and endeavor to retrieve it.

It's Bryan's turn to tell the 9:30 Society all about the third episode of the fourth season of Are You Afraid of the Dark: The Tale of the Water Demons. In this Tucker episode, Are You Afraid of the Dark casually rips off John Carpenter's 80s horror classic The Fog and subjects us to yet another horrible, psychopath Nickelodeon kid. It's your classic Are You Afraid of the Dark set up as an awful city kid is sent to spent some time with his country cousin and along the way the city kid steals everything that's not nailed down, including a cursed piece of treasure from the local crazy sea captain's house. It turns out that the sea captain is being haunted by the ghost of the people whose treasure he salvaged from sunken boats. It's a whole thing.

This week it's Dave's turn to tell the 9:30 Society all about the second episode of the fourth season of Are You Afraid of the Dark: The Tale of the Long Ago Locket. This one is a period piece about a kid having a psychotic break and hallucinating British soldiers and a sweaty Minute Man who must escape the local woods not to deliver important intelligence or battle plans but to find the woman he loves and deliver her from the clutches of a marriage that wasn't meant to be. Also, Frank is starting to display some seirously troubling traits when it comes to things like consent.

It's Bryan's turn this week to tell the 9:30 Society all about the first episode of the fourth season of Are You Afraid of the Dark: The Tale of the Renegade Virus. Affordable personal computers were suddenly on the minds of families everywhere in the 90s and the mysticism of the early internet was a hard draw to resist for television writers who saw science fiction and horror opportunity around every misunderstood corner. In this episode two brothers (maybe, it's hard to tell, really) clash over a girl and one subjects the other to a nearly fatal encounter in cyberspace when a computer virus gets in his head and threatens to take over his body. It's ridiculous, y'all!

It's Mikie's turns this week to tell the 9:30 Society about the thirteenth episode of the third season of Are You Afraid of the Dark: The Tale of the Dangerous Soup! It's the third season finale and they treat us to quite the guest star. It's also a Frank episode so that means a certain Riddle Pervert is back, this time double-timing us as a Soup Pervert. Speaking of soup, what is The Dangerous Soup? Only the most irresistable dish at the best restaurant in town. What's the secret ingredient, though? Beard hair probably. But also fear and this episode's cranky drifter Reed is going to find out about it the hard way.

This week it's Aileen's turn to tell the 9:30 Society about the twelfth episode of the third season of Are You Afraid of the Dark: The Tale of the Crimson Clown. In this episode, Gary tells us a Sardo-less story about two brothers, Sam and Mike. Mike is a good boy who does as he's told and obeys the rules. Sam is a rampaging psychopath who is going to learn the hard way that living a life of crime this early in his life will have consequences and those consequences happen to entail being stalked by a clown doll with evil intentions. It's basically Talking Tina, The Living Doll episode of The Twilight Zone. Or that Treehouse of Horror episode of The Simpsons with the talking Krusty doll.

Years later a pair of brothers move into the same house where this horribe tragedy happened and they'll sort out the mystery of the fire, capture the demon, and put the ghost to rest once and for all.
