  • Mistakes Were Made by Lucy Score
    Apr 29 2026

In this episode, we dive into the contemporary romance book Mistakes Were Made by Lucy Score. This is the second book in her Story Lake Series. We’ve covered the first book, Story of My Life, previously on the podcast.

During this episode, we discuss how excited we were to read Zoey and Gage’s book because he literally and figuratively fell for her, the hilarious antics of Goose, why Zoey’s character was incredibly relatable, how much we adore the Bishop family, why Story Lake is a cross between a town in a Hallmark movie and Schitt’s Creek, the incredible tension that builds throughout the book, why we can’t wait to read Levi’s story, and how we’re hoping that Laura eventually gets her own book. Plus, we chat all about the surprising spicy side of Gage and why we’re giving this book a three-and-a-half-pepper spicy rating.

  • Author Interview: Jules Kyle
    Apr 24 2026

In this episode, we’re joined by the duo writing team behind Jules Kyle. We discuss how they got started writing together, why they’re passionate about showing diverse characters in their books, how they came up with the idea for the series and this book, how spice is tied to character development, the importance of showcasing a character facing infertility challenges, and what they plan to write next.

Hopelessly Yours is available on Amazon, Kindle Unlimited, and their online store. Also, make sure to check out the first book in The Wexstone Royals series, Royally Yours.

And check out their Kickstarter for the audiobook duet narration for Royally Yours.

    About Jules Kyle

Jules Kyle came to be when two internet friends decided to write a rom-com together. Once upon a time, two Millennial women joined a Facebook group for fans of Sarah J. Maas novels. In late 2022, Khrystian posted in the group asking if anyone would be interested in writing a book with her. Stephie saw the post, paused, scrolled past, scrolled back up, repeated this about 15 times, and finally responded. The two immediately clicked, started writing, and–as the saying goes–the rest is history.

Steph (Aka Jules) is a full-time food writer and recipe developer who lives in Illinois with her husband, daughter, and menagerie of cats and dogs. When she’s not at her computer or in her kitchen, you can probably find her in her sewing room or (unsurprisingly) with her nose in a book.

Khrystian (Aka Kyle) is a photographer who lives wherever the Navy tells her to (currently the D.C. area) with her husband, daughter, and their dog and cat. You can usually find her with a Diet Coke in her hand and a smutty audiobook on her AirPods.

During this episode, we discuss Memnon’s hilarious reaction when he goes to get Selene out of jail, how we’re extremely suspicious of everything Memnon says and does, why we believe there is more to the lycans than they’re sharing with Selene, why we’re very curious about how often Memnon uses his memory wiping capabilities, and how we need to know what Memnon is doing when he takes a while to get to Selene sometimes.
