  • Anna Katarina - While I Was Dreaming, Songwriting, and Choosing This Life
    Jun 15 2026

Anna Katarina joins Inlet Wire to talk about her album While I Was Dreaming — a record about the beautiful, complicated moments that happen while you’re chasing a different version of success.

In this episode, Anna talks about growing up with big pop-star dreams, learning to value the life around her, and finding meaning in the songs that are not always the obvious “hits.” She also shares how collaboration shaped her writing, what Lost Without You taught her about discipline and inspiration, and why Vancouver still gives her something she needs.

  • King Bob - Making Music That Is About Something
    Jun 8 2026

King Bob began taking shape around 2018, but the songs behind the project go back much further.

In this episode of Inlet Wire, I’m joined by Jackson McDonald from the Victoria band King Bob. Jackson talks about learning to record at home, bringing years of unfinished ideas together for the 17-song debut album Rookie, and how one of the band’s oldest songs became “Figure It Out.”

We also talk about King Bob’s Patreon, where Jackson shares demos, weekly covers and other work that happens between official releases.

Near the end of the episode, Jackson explains why thought and intention remain central to every King Bob song.

King Bob are currently recording their second album, with more new music on the way.

  • The Shindigs - From Childhood Buddies to a Band
    Jun 1 2026

The Shindigs are a five-piece indie rock band from Nanaimo on Vancouver Island.

In this episode, Eric Chan talks with Shea Peoples and Alex Peabody about the unlikely connection that first brought the band together, how that early friendship became part of their creative process, and what changed once the shows started getting bigger.

They also get into writing as a full band, learning how to turn a set into a real show, and why touring can still feel like a week-long sleepover with your friends.
