Dr. Jon Baer is an associate professor of religion at Wabash College where he specializes in American religious history, contemporary American religion, and the cross section of masculinity and religion.

Prof. Baer sees his role as a professor as being a guide through the messy religious landscape that is modern America. His classes focus on engaging with mostly contemporary sociological, personal, and theological texts that provide the jumping off point for lively discussions about topics ranging from sports and religion, to sects and cults in America, and to mental health and religion.
