I believe that friends with benefits is definitely possible. I also believe there is not a healthy expectation towards establishing a friends with benefits (fwb) type of relationship. There is the notion that these relationships are bound to fail, they are manipulative, or the persons involved are just fearful of commitment. But these things exist in all forms of relationships.
