    May 21 2023

In this episode I have the privilege of  interviewing  the main man , Jeff Mohler, President & CEO of Special Olympics Indiana. It was a true pleasure and I am  grateful for the opportunity.  During our discussion, Jeff covers a wide range of Special Olympics Indiana leadership topics, including  Athlete Leadership University (ALU) and the future of Special Olympics Indiana 'United Leadership'. Jeff also challenges our athletes to step up their individual games to prepare for future athlete opportunities in leadership.

This podcast is pretty long. So grab a fresh cup of coffee,  or if stuck in traffic turn it up, and take a listen to this episode of Hoosier Favorite Athlete.

  • 2023 Southern Indiana Premiere - "The Best We've Got: The Carl Erskine Story"
    Mar 9 2023

My special guest for this episode is Paula Wilson Sneed.  Paula is a Special Olympics athlete, and chairperson-elect of the Athlete Leadership Council for the Clark-Floyd Counties Program.  Paula was also recently honored by being selected as one of only 12 statewide Erskine Ambassadors for Special Olympics Indiana.  Paula is the daughter of the late Sheila & Paul Wilson, long-time coaches and supporters of Special Olympics.

Please join Paula and me as we discuss the significant and lifelong impact that Carl Erskine has had on our movement towards full inclusion for all, and our "friendraising" movie premiere event on April 6, 2023 for southern Indiana.

Special Olympics Indiana has teamed up with award-winning Indiana filmmaker Ted Green to share the life story of Indiana icon and MLB great Carl Erskine, who has had an immeasurable impact on the Special Olympics movement.

“The Best We’ve Got: The Carl Erskine Story” highlights Carl’s life as an advocate of acceptance and inclusion, his storied baseball career and his important role as a parent to a son with Down syndrome.

Since its debut in August 2022 in Carl’s hometown of Anderson, this inspiring film has been seen by tens of thousands of people in theaters across Indiana.

Hosted by: Special Olympics Indiana Clark-Floyd Counties.
