 The Hidden Figures - Music Business on the World stage show is a conversational podcast that features figures from the international music industry that can be described as hidden or behind the scenes. The sole purpose of this show is to uncover the many professions in the music industry around the world that the average person may not have any knowledge of but provide incredible value to the space. Hidden Figures provides options for people of all ages looking to penetrate the music industry outside of being a recording artist or musician. The creator of this show, Julien Matwawana, Executive Director of the African Nova Scotian Music Association (ANSMA) in Atlantic Canada, feels that this content will help the community he serves in his position at ANSMA, and beyond by showing that there are many ways one can provide value to the music ecosystem. By interviewing active Hidden Figures in the music industry, Julien hopes to show those who have a passion for music and a desire to take part in it that there are many different ways to do so. Hidden Figures will feature music industry professionals from across the globe who have made significant contributions to the music industry in some way that may surprise listeners and viewers.
