Her Outside Voice amplifies the voice of the feminine, the stories of those who embody her, and the forces that shape the choice to reclaim, express, or remain silent. Hosted by somatic voice and sound practitioner Kristi Rogers, it's a collective memoir of the feminine, built one story at a time. Each episode explores not just how someone uses their voice, through singing, speaking, advocacy, or silence, but why. The joy and the shadow, both held with compassion. No right answers. If you feel the pull to remember your own voice, come listen, and share your story too.Kristi Rogers Sciences sociales

  • Ep. 2 | "We Are Already Whole" : Ana Lucia Divins on Reclaiming the Voice
    Sep 5 2026

What if your voice is already exactly as it should be?

In this episode of the Her Outside Voice Podcast, Kristi Rogers sits down with Colombian-born artist, therapeutic singer, and community leader Ana Lucía Divins for a conversation about the voice as a path back to what was always there.Ana Lucía shares her journey of the voice: singing freely as a child, the perfectionism that crept in later, and the experience at 24 that became a catalyst for a lifetime of reclamation. She opens up about reconnecting with long-held grief through sounding and toning, why sound can move what talk alone cannot reach, and what it means to step out of her own way and sing as a vessel of service. Along the way she reflects on rebuilding her life in a new country, releasing the myth of the "trained musician," the retreat in Amorgos, Greece that changed everything, and the mission guiding her work today.Ana Lucía Divins is a Colombian-born artist, therapeutic singer, and community leader who has spent more than 15 years using music as a bridge for healing, connection, and cultural understanding. Internationally certified as both a Holistic Voice Therapist and a Music Practitioner, she combines science-backed sound therapy with her Colombian heritage to create transformative experiences for body, mind, and spirit. Her work has reached audiences in Colombia, Greece, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the United States through healthcare, corporate wellness, community programs, live performances, and bedside music for patients. An award-winning artist and recipient of the 2023 Creative Renewal Fellowship from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Arts & Science Council, Ana Lucía has performed for the inauguration of North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper, shared healing music with global organizations, and released her debut album, Emerging, inspired by her own journey of healing. A survivor of kidnapping during the Colombian civil war, she discovered music as a path to recovery and has dedicated her life to helping others find resilience, restoration, and inner harmony through the power of sound.Connect with Ana Lucía:Website: www.adivins.comInstagram: @divinsmusic ( / divinsmusic )Music on Spotify and YouTube: DivinsDebut album: "Emerging"Watch the official video for "Slow Down," filmed in Barcelona: • Slow Down Official Music Video New album "Into the Light" coming October 2026About the show:Her Outside Voice is hosted by Kristi Rogers of Te de Sura Studio.Explore the work: www.tedesurastudio.comFollow on Instagram: @tedesura_studio ( / tedesura_studio )Subscribe on YouTube ( / @tedesura_studio ) and Spotify (https://open.spotify.com/show/0346bmw...) so you don't miss an episode. If this conversation resonated, share it with someone who needs to remember their voice.

  • Ep. 1 | 20 Years of Expressive Silence Broken by a "YES"
    Aug 13 2026

Are you willing to risk the life you've been living for the one that calls you?

This is the question at the heart of the very first episode of Her Outside Voice, and it's the question that changed everything for host Kristi Rogers three years ago.

In this foundational episode, Kristi lays the groundwork for what this global interview series is, and then shares the story of her own voice. Twenty years of what she calls an expressive silence. The moment it broke open at an ecstatic dance retreat in Portugal. And the slow remembering that followed, one aligned decision at a time. This is where the podcast begins. Not with answers, but with an invitation.

Her Outside Voice is a podcast amplifying the voice of the feminine, the stories of those who embody her, and the forces that shape the choice to reclaim, express, or remain silent. It's a collective memoir of the feminine, built one story at a time. Some of these stories are about singing and speaking out loud. Others are about choosing silence, setting a boundary, or simply knowing who you are and letting your life reflect that. All of it is voice work. None of it comes with a right answer.

In this episode: why Her Outside Voice exists and why now; voice as more than singing; holding space for the shadow side of the voice, not only the blissful side; Kristi's own story of a musical childhood, a visibility wound, and the loss that sent her into silence; the twenty years that silence was quietly incubating something; the ecstatic dance retreat in Portugal that cracked her open; and the slow return to a voice that was finally hers.

If something in this story resonates, you're warmly invited to reach out and share your own. This is a co-creation, and it begins with listening to each other.

Follow Her Outside Voice so you don't miss the first interview, coming in the weeks ahead.
