Welcome to my first episode of the show! This podcast has been a long time coming and I am so glad that it is here. I created my Instagram @healingprohealing when I was lost. I was a professional who had felt seriously harmed by the very field I worked in and my entire perspective shifted. I started asking more questions. I got bolder in my call-outs and I started to connect to others who had similar experiences. And what I learned was that there are so many of us healing pros who are on our own journeys of healing. I learned that so many of us have been stigmatized and treated like we didn't belong in the field because we were suffering. And the messages of belonging and professionalism above humanity persist so deeply and so strongly that I and my peers come up against this every single day. I wanted to create a space where I could bring together professionals dedicated to helping others heal who are also on their own journeys of mental illness and healing.
