Ashdown Gorge is often called a less crowded alternative to The Narrows of Zion National Park. I have done both hikes now and of course compared them. In today's episode I will tell you all about this amazing hike at the stunning Cedar Breaks National Monument, my perfect escape from hot Las Vegas in August. It was an adventure in many ways and I did not come as prepared as I should have.

This episode is the best example for why it is always good to have a plan B. Because not every time, everything goes according to plan. But if you are flexible, you can still have a great time and a good adventure. This is what happened to me when I went to Lake Superior to explore the Apostle Islands by kayak.
