California frequently tops the lists of worst jurisdictions for tort lawsuits compiled by groups including the US Chamber of Commerce Institute for Legal Reform and the American Tort Reform Foundation. Because avoiding lawsuits or obtaining favorable settlements is key strategy of asset protection, California's lawsuit culture makes it extremely difficult to protect your business and hard earned wealth.
