    • How to free yourself and become more of who you truly are with Aspen Marino
      Sep 22 2025

In this episode I talk to the wonderful Aspen Marino.

Aspen is a wild one from the mountains of Montana. Her medicine is body-based and soul-oriented. She helps you get unstuck and free who you are.

Her work is about recognizing the ways we limit our freedom, cut ourselves off, and create patterns of suffering—and guiding the process of opening these places up.

Through hands-on bodywork, somatic coaching, teaching, and facilitating, she supports people in growing their capacity to let energy move through them, bringing them ever more alive and into who they really are.

In this conversation we talk about Aspen's journey into her body and into the work she now does.

We talk about how starting where we are and meeting what actually is is ultimately the way to remembering who we truly are, the way to move past what the world has imprinted onto us and uncover our true blueprint.

We also discuss how if something's not right in our body then something's not right in our life and how to look at the systems the symptoms are occurring in and work with the body to uncover its wisdom.

This is a fascinating conversation and one that I think is so important for the times that we find ourselves in. We have to get back in touch with our own bodies in order to stop self abandoning ourselves, start questioning the systems around us and start living and being in a different way for the benefit of ourselves and the earth.

    • We need to talk about fascism
      Jul 14 2025

Welcome to another episode of For our liberation.

In this episode I talk to Alice Leibowitz, founder of Conversations against fascism.

With a degree in psychology and a masters in public policy, Alice's career initially focused on facilitating groups and organisational design in the non profit sector.

However, it was Trump's first presedential term that heralded the beginning of Conversations against fascism because, simply put, that's what Alice felt she needed at the time, to be having conversations about and against fascism.

In this conversation we cover many topics but the main thread is that of how to be an effective activist in these times, which is the work that Alice now does, supporting people in creating a world in which we are all safe, valued and free.

If you're an activist or even just someone like me who feels as though you can't stand by and do nothing and yet you just don't quite know where or how to start, then I think this conversation will be really helpful. I know it was for me.

If you want to learn more about Alice's work and to join her for her upcoming program then you can find all of the details by following the links below:

    • We need to do life differently...but what does that even mean?
      May 5 2025

We need to do life differently.

I think most of us are agreed on this. But what does it really mean?

In this episode I share a bit about my own story of burnout and near bankruptcy and how it has led me to realise that it's not me who needs fixing but the systems that we're living in.

We can't keep living this way and expect to be well, we can't thrive while we're complying with systems that are designed to keep us in survival mode.

I talk about how we need to grieve the life that we thought we were going to live and focus instead on building a life based on satisfaction, simplicity and enough rather than abundance.

There is liberation in simplification, which is a thread I will continue to follow in upcoming podcasts.

In this episode I refer to a podcast episode with Sean Nicole, you can find it here.

I also mention a book by Chris van Tulleken called Ultra Processed People, which is well worth a read.
