At just seven years old, Augusta experienced a devastating boating accident that nearly took her life and left her leg almost completely amputated. Against incredible odds, surgeons were able to reattach her leg, beginning a long journey of recovery.

Growing up without a Christian faith, she began asking questions about God, eventually encountering Jesus in a way that changed the direction of her life.
