James Cameron original planned Terminator 2 based on a dream or rather nightmare he had. But he knew the industry didn’t have the tech yet, that it would be too hard to get made, so he created the first terminator story.
It was a hit.
Then came T2, the movie he really wanted to make.
It was an even bigger hit.
Then something broke. Studios wanted to keep making movies, keep making money but they didn’t know where to go with the timeline so the the just cycled over and over after T2 until no one could sort out the timeline.
In T6 James Camercon return to the story, he decided to walk away from John Connor. It was just too messy.
Now Terminator Zero is coming, and we wonder what it will consider cannon, and what is not?
