High performing Black women are viewed as achieving beyond their perceived capabilities, but at what cost? So, you already know I had to do a deep dive into my mental health and personal development after dating the men in Ghana. After many tragic encounters I saw the need to love myself properly and recommit to life I deserve. I was drowning in an ocean of low self-esteem and insecure attachment. Thank you, God for God, being God and for my tribe, it’s the only way I made it through.

The men had me in a chokehold while abroad and I’m still talking bout it. I’m back in Ghana and everything I worked so hard for was questioned in my first month being back on the continent.
