After a successful CD release party at the Capital Music Club, he plans to carry his momentum throughout the summer with more shows in Saskatoon, Swift Current, Regina and to festivals including the Dog Patch Music Festival.

      Daniel James plays guitar in the band Brass Camel and he joins the podcast to talk about their song "King for a Day" from their debut album "Brass." The guitar player talks about how the hardest part of playing in a band is finding people who share the same vision and are ready to commit to the project.

      Brass Camel draws inspiration from progressive rock, jazz fashion, blues and R&B. But Daniel says that they try to avoid rules about what the band should sound like and that allows the creative process some extra freedoms.

      He grew up playing the violin, going to festivals and listening to fiddle music in the family's big VW bus. Now his instrument of choice is a tenor guitar and he is riding a wave of creativity.
