Baptism is one of the most recognizable practices of the Christian faith, but what are we actually saying when we are baptized? In this episode, we walk through the questions asked of those entering the Christian faith: renouncing evil, receiving the Christian faith, resisting injustice, living in obedience, and continually turning toward Jesus Christ. We explore what these promises mean, how they connect to Scripture and the historic Christian tradition, and how baptism shapes the way we live long after we leave the water. Baptism is not simply a moment in our faith. It is a call to a lifetime of following Jesus.
