The first episode of Deliver U.S. from Dehumanization opens with my experience growing up in an immigrant-parent household. This story reflects a reality shared by many children who live with the fear, uncertainty, and emotional weight created by our immigration system.

This episode asks a question that goes beyond policy or politics: What are we doing to our children? How does the cruelty of deportation and government action affect not just the individual, but the young ones who grow up afraid their parents may never come back?

If you’ve been impacted by deportation, detention, or the constant fear of being seen as “other,” I want to hear from you. Your stories deserve space. Your voice deserves to be heard.

The second episode of Deliver U.S. from Dehumanization tells the story of a young Guatemalan boy who was detained for nothing more than standing outside a motel, talking on the phone with his mother. His case reflects a painful reality—how stereotyping, fear, and bias can lead to injustice and cause irreversible harm.

This episode examines our justice system and the ways personal biases can shape outcomes, even leading to the wrongful criminalization of a teenager with his entire life ahead of him. How does a 19-year-old recover from that kind of trauma? How many others never get the chance?

If you’ve been impacted by deportation, detention, or the constant fear of being seen as “other,” I want to hear from you. Your stories deserve space. Your voice deserves to be heard.
