In this episode, the Unpopped Colonels delve into a few conspiracy theories surrounding the Royal Mail Ship (RMS) Titanic...the "Wonder Ship," "Ship of Dreams," "Queen of the Ocean," "Unsinkable." The Colonels talk about three competing conspiracy theories regarding Titanic's deliberate sinking (well, there is a fourth, but we just couldn't get into it...):
- The RMS Titanic did not sink at all; rather, it was the the RMS Olympic - Titanic's one-year older sister ship - that actually sank.
- The RMS Titanic indeed sank; however, it was not due to striking an iceberg - it was the result of a terrorist bombing.
- The sinking of the RMS Titanic was orchestrated to kill influencial businessmen who were on board and who opposed the formation of the United States Federal Reserve.
- OH, OK! We'll throw the fourth one out, but we don't develop it in this episode: there was a mummy's curse placed on the RMS Titanic ultimately leading to it's misfortune - see, nothing here on that one.
