October 26–November 1, 2026 | Jeremiah 31–33; 36–39; Lamentations 1; 3

What do we do when life doesn't turn out the way we imagined? When motherhood feels overwhelming, prayers seem unanswered, or everything around us feels like it's falling apart?

This week on Come, Follow Me Moms, we're diving into Jeremiah and Lamentations and discovering a beautiful promise from our Heavenly Father: Our sorrow doesn't have to be the end of our story.

Jeremiah watched Jerusalem fall into destruction after years of warning the people to turn back to God. But even in the middle of heartbreak, the Lord promised hope, restoration, and joy.

And mamas, that promise is for us too!

In this episode, we're talking about:

• Turning mourning into joy: How Jesus Christ can bring healing, peace, and hope into our hardest seasons.

• Following the prophet: Are we truly listening and acting on prophetic counsel, even when it's uncomfortable?

• Writing Christ on our hearts: Teaching our children to love Jesus, not just go through the motions.

• Finding faith in the ruins: Trusting God's promises even when we can't see how things will work out.

• Processing hard emotions: What Lamentations teaches us about grief, journaling, and turning toward God.

• His mercies are new every morning: Why yesterday's mistakes don't have to define today.

One of my favorite scriptures this week is Lamentations 3:22–23:

"It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness."

Mamas, maybe yesterday was hard. Maybe you lost your patience, cried in the bathroom, or felt like you weren't doing enough.

But guess what?

Today is a new day. And His mercies are new every morning.

You don't have to be a perfect mom. You just have to keep turning toward Jesus Christ.

Read Lamentations 3:22–23 together.

Have each child draw a sunrise and write or draw one way Jesus Christ helps them start again.

Talk about how every day is a new opportunity to repent, forgive, love, and try again.

Question to ask your kids: "How can we invite Jesus into our day tomorrow?"

Ask Heavenly Father one simple question:

"What would You have me do today?"

Then listen for a prompting and act on it.

Maybe it's reaching out to a friend, apologizing to your child, spending a few minutes in the scriptures, or simply recognizing how the Lord has helped you through another day.

Remember, God doesn't always take away the hard parts of our stories. But He promises to be with us through them.

You are never behind. You are never alone. And with Jesus Christ, there is always hope.

Have you ever felt like God was asking you to do something you weren't qualified to do? Or wondered if your children are actually listening to anything you're teaching them? 😂

Mama, this week's Come, Follow Me lesson is for YOU!

We're diving into the book of Jeremiah, a prophet who was called by God before he was even born. Jeremiah was asked to preach repentance to people who didn't want to listen. He faced rejection, discouragement, and opposition, but the Lord reminded him that he was never alone.

And guess what? We can learn SO much from Jeremiah about motherhood!

In this episode, we're talking about:

• God doesn't call the qualified. He qualifies those He calls. What Jeremiah's foreordination teaches us about our own divine purpose and the responsibilities God gives us.

• Jeremiah and Lehi! How these two prophets lived during the same general time period and were called to warn the people of Jerusalem.

• Planting seeds of faith. Just like a garden needs consistent care, our faith and our children's testimonies need nurturing, patience, and time.

• You are never alone. God's promise to Jeremiah reminds us that He is with us, even during the loneliest seasons of motherhood.

• Where are we finding our living water? Are we turning to Jesus Christ when we're exhausted and overwhelmed, or filling our time with things that leave us feeling empty?

• Returning to God. Just as we want our children to come home and tell us everything about their day, our Heavenly Father wants us to come to Him with our worries, joys, struggles, and questions.

I also share how starting this podcast took years of finding the courage to say YES to something I didn't feel qualified to do, and how that decision has blessed my scripture study and my family.
