    On the program is Autry Fulbright, bassist for OFF!, ex-Austinite and former bassist for Trail of Dead, and currently curating the Museum of The Future Present.  The installation is a pop up at Native Hostel, running until the end of 2021.  Check the website for special popup performances from national acts during the exhibition's run.  

    Autry is a busy man who is working on the exhibit, recording an album with OFF!, and working with creative and management clients such as Thundercat, Flying Lotus and Shabazz Palaces.  We had a brief but engaging conversation and hope to have a follow up in the next year.

  • Episode 8: Chet Weise

    Season 1, Episode 8:

    On the program, our guest Chet Weise.  Chet is a musician/writer/poet, he performs with Nashville power trio, Kings of The Fucking Sea, (which features Chet’s wife, Poni Silver, formerly of the Ettes). 

    Chet also is the Editor In Chief at Third Man Books, a division of Jack White’s Third Man Records.  

    We talked a few weeks ago over the phone and was great to catch up with Chet.  The label and Chet go back to the year 2001, when we released a split single with Chet’s old band, The Immortal Lee County Killers and The Nomads’ side project, Matching Numbers.

    Chet has been busy with his band, his writing and poetry, and working with authors such as Will Sargent of Echo & The Bunnymen for upcoming Third Man Books releases.

    We're totally thrilled to have one of ATX's BBQ icons, and recovering musician, Aaron Franklin on the program. Aaron Franklin is widely regarded as one of the most influential pitmasters in the U.S. He received the James Beard Foundation Award for Best Chef: Southwest in 2015. Popular and critically lauded restaurant, Franklin Barbecue, was awarded Texas Monthly’s coveted Best Barbecue Joint in Texas, and Bon Appetit’s Best Barbecue Joint in America.

Doyle and his wife Yvette started Enoch’s, a renowned venue/pub/cafe with incarnations in Monroe and Shreveport. The Jeters started Enoch’s in 1980 in Monroe, and are still operating as an Irish/Cajun Pub with their son John taking ownership a year ago.

  • Episode 1- Ian MacDougall (Band of Horses, Riverboat Gamblers)

    Ian MacDougall is the frontman for Broken Gold, and plays guitar for renowned punk rockers, Riverboat Gamblers (one of the USA's most exciting live bands).  Ian also joined Band of Horses as a touring member and is now a full time member.  If that wasn't enough, Ian also did road management work for the Foo Fighters, and teaches guitar lessons virtually for Austin's School of Rock.
