This first episode discusses the state of post-stroke care globally and the implications for patients, family members, healthcare providers, health systems, and economies. It explores the barriers to post-stroke care, acknowledging inequities of access and how these can be addressed.
Our host, Dr. Michelle Nelson of the World Stroke Organization, is joined by Dr. Monica Verduzco Gutierrez, a physiatrist in the Department of Rehab Medicine at the Long School of Medicine at UT Health, San Antonio, and Professor Dorcas Gandhi, a neurophysiotherapist at the Christian Medical College and Hospital in Ludhiana, India.
