However, once Chuck got to high school there sports like football, track and wrestling. There were also some very hard times during those high school years.

Two shows with Rawley were not enough. Had to talk to him in person. Took place in the Panguitch club house. a great response of why baseball is the one over all the sports played. he explains why hitting off a tee is so important. Rawley explains the team efoort with his assistant coaches Miller and Leach. Could not conclude the interview without a special shout out to both his Mom and his wife. They make everything possible. Continued our day at Kyte Monroe with a 80's show. Not TV and not music. It was time spent with Howard Wittenberg, Bob Homant, John Bosch, and Larry Paladino. These are all over 80 year old guys still playing the game. Very special to get their variety of stories on why they still do it.

Continued our day at Kyte Monroe by spending time with Gene Baratta and Alan Gershel. If you live in the Detroit area Gene has had Fairway Packing in Grosse Pointe for over 35 years. The place to get your meats. Both have great stories on how they found the league and why they still play. We finished the day by having Mike Juliano rejoin us to talk about the day. Also about how the league is always growing and how that is done.

Comments and questions about the day and each of these guys can be sent to barrelitup@yahoo.com.

Clayton started out by being Mr. Football and Mr. Baseball in Indiana his senior year of high school. He was also Valdectorian of his class. That got him a scholarship to the University of Michigan where he played both Baseball and Football. Hear how much his parents helped him along his sports trail. Hear about the positive influence of coaches along the way.
