À propos de ce contenu audio

Why do some baseball players still play baseball, not softball, into their 60s, 70s, and even 80s? Welcome to Barrel It Up. I'm your host, Jay Ciambrone. This show will delve into the reasons that these individuals still find the game irresistible. After being involved in the world of baseball for decades, I've discovered that many of these players have fascinating stories to share, stories that should be heard by our wider audience and not just their fellow players. Come join us and find out what's so compelling about these personal journeys. Lanny is the fourth of our interviews of those that have been part of all 38 Mens Senior Baseball League World Series. As a matter of fact he may be someone who has been on the most teams in the World Series. He has been on 102 teams! If you know of someone that can beat that please let me know at barrelitup@yahoo.com. Even his time in the Army and especially 35 years as an airline pilot could not keep him away from baseball. Sometimes playing in three leagues at the same time trying to get enough of the game. Lanny had the real joy to win some rings while playing with his sons in Father/Son. Frank is the 3rd of our interviews with individuals that have been to all 38 Men's Senior Baseball League World Series. Frank grew up with baseball in the Chicago area. His family were baseball people with his dad playing in 40+ games at 70. While he did play some softball after college, baseball was available for most of the years until he found senior baseball. Hear how strongly he is grateful that he has been able to play these last 38 years in the World Series. Please leave comments at barrelitup@yahoo.com. This is the second in our series of players that have entered the MSBL World Series Hall Of Fame in 2025. Bill started attending the World Series in 2012. This after his high school and College baseball career. In college he played at the University of San Francisco. What he learned along that route has helped him to be first a high school coach and now a junior college coach. He gives us valuable information on how coaches can handle young players (some of us older ones too). Only two players have entered this Hall class of 2015. Congratulations Bill.
