Companion episode to Continuing Covenant (Chapter 1)

"And this is the confidence that we have in him,

that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:

And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask,

we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him."

I John 5:15

To be clear, the phrase, “whatever we ask,” has a significant condition that must be met as it relates to one's prayer being answered. It is clearly stated that “if we ask anything according to His will; He will hear us.” Still, many of us either miss the significance of this condition or simply choose to ignore it, as if it does not apply to everyone.

Thankfully, this young Christian mother that had just learned she was expecting a third child, believed that the heartfelt and persistent prayer of a believer can produce dynamic results when God is kept in the forefront of her life and that of her unborn son.

Thus, in late October, she gave birth to a healthy baby boy and she began realizing the answer to her prayer. That child she had so faithfully dedicated to God months before his birth began living out what we shall come to recognize as a Continuing Covenant.

One will never be able to anticipate their first encounter with the Holy Spirit of God. To be sure, whenever He has deemed the perfect time to announce His presence in the life of His servant, in whatever circumstances He uses for his platform of entrance; the experience will be one that shall never be forgotten.

The Word of God teaches that "... all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose" (Rom 8:28).

Do you love God? Are you called according to His purpose?

If so, then all things means some things that might seem extremely heavy crosses to carry. These things might also include God transferring spiritual authority from a parent to an offspring.

Such things will require one to cultivate a relationship with I AM, access to His peace and strength, and a faithful desire to serve Him.
