My question for you today is: Are YOU a helicopter CEO?
and before I dive off into this topic, if you're thinking "this can't apply to me because I don't have a team in place yet"...wrong...
- If you've outsourced in any way in your business, you should have systems in place to allow for tracking -- this means there is NO reason for you to hover over what's being done, how it's being done & when it's being done. Just like you, your team created their business for a flexible schedule to be built around their life as well.
- On that same base line, if your team is missing deadlines or you're having to "babysit" them in any way...you need to have a team meeting & set up adjustments or potentially start looking for new team members. Be gracious, sometimes LIFE does happen, but COMMUNICATION is a must & should be the #1 priority between you & your team at all times.
- For my CEOs that don't have a team in place...
